Welcome to Find My Device. By downloading, installing, or using our app and related services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and the developers of Find My Device ("we", "us", "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
Find My Device is a Bluetooth-based device locator app. It scans for nearby Bluetooth signals, provides a distance score to help you locate devices, and displays the last-known location of saved devices on a map. The Service supports a wide range of Bluetooth-enabled devices.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
4. Permitted Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to track or monitor any person or device without their knowledge and consent.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any backend systems or data.
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Find My Device offers a free tier and an optional premium subscription. If you choose to purchase the premium version:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings at any time after purchase.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and software associated with the Service are the property of their respective owners. Find My Device is not affiliated with Apple Inc., Fitbit, or any other third-party brand mentioned in the app. All third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners and are referenced for compatibility purposes only.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate. Bluetooth signal strength and location accuracy depend on environmental factors outside our control.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to failure to locate a device.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
